Just a quick tip that the essential WordPress backup plugin is now at version 2.1.0. Upgrade if you are below this level.

Spam is a constant frustration for bloggers and RT at Untwisted Vortex has some new plugins that may help those of you who have hundreds of comments to check in Akismet every day: I’ve installed both plugins mentioned in his I’m getting zero spam comments, and I’ve only had 2 comments in my moderation queue in the last 48 hours. Got to be worth a try surely?

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThanks for the link up and the tip on the backup update. I had the previous version. It save my bacon more than once, so I really appreciate it.
Anyone who doesn’t backup their blog is asking for a nasty surprise.
I should also mention that I was getting 2-300 comments a day to moderate before this.
