Thanks K :-)

I agree if you're a 'problogger' or just have pretensions of being one, you should keep going. Those of use blogging for fun may just find it easier to walk away for a couple of days.

Excellent points mate! Your post reflects a lot of sentiments I feel! If you are feeling pressured to write, then the fun starts to disappear! Taking a few days' break has always done wonders for me! But, I could never just crunch out posts ahead of time though.. I am still working on that bit. :-)

Stumbled!

I think it's a case of 'whatever floats your boat' Mike - Personally I can reach a stage where I can't bear to be in front of the PC - I can't play games, mindlessly surf, nothing I just have to get away. Then a few days later, ideas start to flow and I have an itch to get back in the saddle. But then I'm not much of a writer, so maybe that's why ;-)

Thanks Ken :-)

It's all about feeling good and passion about blogging. If you feel you can having a good time blogging for a certain of time, better stop doing it and search for other activities that are more valuable then sitting infront of your pc and whinning all the day. :)
I work and I blog. I manage to wake early before 9-5 working time to do my blogging because I have passion in it. But it doesn't mean I will never face the 'block'! If the block happen to come to my face, I will do your last advice to 'take a break'.

I found I could comes up with more idea to blog about when I'm away from the blogging activities.'Release to get more'.

Nice post, Chris!

I think the key thing to remember is that writing every day is important. Not publishing necessarily but write something every day. Maybe continue working on a draft post you've had on the go for a while. Maybe just spill your thoughts out onto a Wordpad file.

Writing is a skill and like most skills, you need to practice. If you get out of practice, you have to work twice as hard to get back to your previous skill level.

As someone who found himself blogstipated over the summer months, I can safely say that writing every day has helped me rediscover my blogging mojo.
