With Christmas now retreating behind us, it’s a fair bet that for many, the festive credit card bills are unfortunately still lingering. If you’re in the States, and looking to get your finances back on track, it may be an idea to have a read of Bills.com’s Debt Freedom guide site. There is a wealth (pun intended) of free advice on this site, much of it available in download able PDF form. I’ve had a read of their free Personal Finance Budget Guide, and it’s full of great advice, such as organising a set of folders in which you store your Ongoing bills (fixed expenses), ‘must buys’ (variable expenses), extra cash, such as that left over after paying the prior expenses, and your long term savings. Getting organized in this way, can really help you sort your finances out. Bills.coms guide entitled ‘Debt Freedom: You Can Be Debt-Free, Starting Today’, can be obtained by visiting the link above, or by emailing guide@bills.com. There’s lots more on the Bill.com web site, including online bill pay, insurance, debt help, mortgages, loans and credit. Furthermore, you can ‘ask Bill’, a collection of experienced financial advisers online. Simply enter your query, and it will be diverted to the most relevant adviser, who will contact you with a personal reply. A useful service.
