I mentioned this briefly yesterday on my Thermal blog, but I have now had the chance to play with it, and it’s excellent.
Blog-Buzz has been described by it’s creators as like Digg for blogs, but it’s better than that. It works very simply: Register for a free account. Then submit blog posts from your own blogs or other peoples. Then, have a read of the submitted buzzes, and when you find ones that you like, just click on the icon next to them to ‘Buzz’ them. Those articles with the most buzzes are displayed, unsurprisingly, on a page of the most popular.
It’s a simple idea, but works so well. Given that the bubble wrap has only just come off the site, the number of hits I’ve received from 2 of my posts that have been buzzed is amazing. This is the great thing about Buzz, that you can submit your own stuff - don’t spam or people will come to see that, and ignore you. But if you submit a couple of your best ones, you can be rewarded with some good readers. Don’t forget to give a buzz to some of your fellow bloggers as well. Highly Recommended.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI support Blog-Buzz whole-heartedly. I have had a heap of traffic since you buzzed my adsense section targeting post. Thanks Chris!
It really does work doesn’t it? I think BB is only going to get bigger.
Remember though Brett, you’ve only got so many buzzes because of the quality of the content.
This sounds great; I’ve never managed to get anything picked up by Digg or Del.icio.us - they’re so tech focused in the first place. Perhaps a blog-only social bookmark site will have better odds.
It seems to be growing quite well, I think bloggers need to get behind this one & help it get bigger. I’ve had a lot of traffic out of it already.
