Greetings Bloggers, My name is mork Claire.
I am Chris’s blogger blog expert as he is Mr WordPress. The only problem is i am not the most technologically minded person in the world.
Basically he has asked me because my blog is hugely successful and he wants to steal all my visitors (warning in case you haven’t already guessed i am rather sarcastic, am i?) . So i think my official title should be ‘Blogger blog tips by a blogging blunderer’ catchy isn’t it.
Let me also say i have not attempted to mess with template design at all yet, but i am going to be brave and tackle that in the not so distant future (yes that is me covering my back in case you ask me anything complicated!)
Update on template design: since writing the first draft of this i attempted to add a third column to my blog, it did not go well! I will not be defeated by it and have found some good ‘how to’ sites, obviously not simple enough for me, but its not over yet.
So first tip and the most important: Save your template!
If you are a Blogger blog newbie or like not technically minded, maybe just maybe i can help

How can I change where it says comments to something different - like what you have done i.e. contributions?

Hey Akelamalu,
thank you for asking a question i know the answer too.
Click on customise, then you will see your page elements and next to that you will see the blog post box.
Click on edit in this box and a edit window will pop up.
You can then change the word comments to anything you like.

Any chance you could point me in the right direction to add an “Older Posts” link at the bottom of my main page? I know this is easy peasy with New Blogger, but have yet to find anyone who knows how to do it with Blogger Classic. And since my blog is hosted on my own site, I’m relegated to sticking with the old stuff…

Rob O, that is an evil question, did you not read that i am an blogging blunderer!
So that means you can’t change your template to new blogger, right?
I have never used Blogger classic, so i cant help that much. i have just had a look about for you and it looks like there is no simple solution to this, if at all.
I can only seem to find info on how to add next/previous post links to the individual posts and not the blog.

You’re doing great here. As you know I have been looking to do the “line through a word” thingy for a while. I know you can do it on Wordpress but is there anyway to do it on Blogger. I gave up with Wordpress after successfully adding a 3rd bar to Blogger.
I’m gonna post my “head ache” how to later so you can use this for commentors if that helps,
