As you know, I’m currently running a backlink contest, and obviously there’s no point running a contest if nobody enters, so I’ve been doing a little promotion in the last week.

Obviously I can write about it, mention it in comments and forums, but if only there was a blog exclusively about contests to promote it on….. a blog like Contest Blogger.

Contest Blogger is the brainchild of Phil Van Treuren, and has a simple aim, to help bloggers to promote their various contests, gaining more entrants and publicity. Contest Blogger is not about promoting a ton of affiliate links and sweepstake scams, as Phil says himself:

You won’t find posts about any contests, sweepstakes or prizes on Contest Blogger if they don’t have to do with professional blogging and link building. It just won’t happen.

Excellent. There’s already a load of good contests on there, and the easiest way to keep up with them is to subscribe to the feed, and make sure you never miss one. It’s free to submit a contest, and nothing is demanded in return, although obviously some linkage is appreciated.

I have submitted my contest, so we’ll see if it pops up, and how many entrants I get out of it, but there’s little doubt in my mind that this is a blog to watch for the future.
