For those of you who were suffering similar problems:
Using Google Reader in Firefox 2.0.0.4, and not being able to load Feedburner feeds from other blogs.
The solution was simple: Disable the Adblockplus extension. Apparently Adblock was updated at the same time as FireFox, and something they did caused Google Reader to act funny. Simply disable Adblock on the Google Reader URL and all should be back to normal.
The simplest answers are usually the correct ones…..

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThe reason is not that Adblock Plus was updated but Firefox 2.0.0.4 adding new blocking functionality: http://adblockplus.org/blog/firefox-2004-closes-ad-blocking-loopholes
Adblock Plus doesn’t have problems with Google Reader per se, it is rather some faulty filters causing this. So far I know about Filterset.G (see http://adblockplus.org/en/faq_project#filterset.g) and RU AdList (this one should be fixed already) that they cause issues. Please mail me if you use a different subscription and it is causing problems.
Apologies Wladimir, this was how it was explained to me - I guess it was just a case of many things at happening at once!
Thanks for the explanation, I also use the Dutchblock list which may be of interest to you.
Dutchblock? That’s bad luck - even if it is causing issues, this list has been discontinued because the author has no time for it. I will try to get him to fix this anyway. It has “feeds.feedburner.com” as a filter…
