I swear by CCleaner - use it sometimes several times a day on client PCs. It isn't always MS at fault for XP flakiness. - it's quite often the 3rd party junk that's stomped all over your Registry & left all sorts of crud behind even after an install. This happens to about 10 blogs a day of the ones that I read, and never the same 10. (2.0.4 on PC). I didn't do any quirky things to fix it, it did it on its own. My Share Feed is slow to update. But this could be a purposeful delay on Google's end.
