A quick round-up this Saturday, of how you can benefit from being a reader of Blog-Op, in order to promote your own blog.

Guest Blogging

I will be away on vacation from the 7th July to the 22nd, and would love some guest posts to put up in this time. Blog-Op is Page Rank 4, with an Alexa of 68k and dropping, so rather than leave this piece of web real-estate to stagnate while I’m away, why not use it to promote your own blog? I’ve already had some excellent original articles submitted, by bloggers new to me and I’m very excited about posting them, and I’ve had promises of some more, but there’s always space for yours.

Promote your blog through an article typical of your normal writing, the submission of a quick tech-tip, or just a paragraph saying hello and why we should read your blog. I’m not promoting anyone’s porn/gambling/drug site, but if you’re a genuine blogger looking for links and promotion here’s your chance.

Linkback Competition

The simplest way to get a free link for your blog:

  1. Link to any of my posts from your blog (a deeplink to a single post please, not to the homepage).
  2. At the end of the contest, ALL entrants will receive a deep link back from Blog-Op.
  3. One entrant will be drawn at random to receive a free lifetime ad spot on my RSS feed, currently worth $60 a month, and shown to over 120 readers daily.
