Apparently the going rate is $30, or $19.50 after Sponsored Reviews have taken their cut.
I’d forgotten to delete my blogs from Sponsored Reviews once I’d decided to stop doing paid posts, mainly because I’d only had two offers in the months that I’d been signed up with them, so I was surprised to see a task from them in my inbox tonight. Imagine my further surprise when I discovered that it was a 200 word post promoting ‘Escort services’ in the north of England.

If you were in any doubt as to whether it was anything more innocent than simple prostitution a quick glance at their homepage will set you straight:
Many of our clients want to enjoy a pornstar experience (PSE) with an uninhibited girl like the ones they’ve seen on screen. Always eager to meet the needs of our gentlemen, we’re happy to represent some stunning pornstar escorts, who you’ll find as thrilling as the naughty films they’ve starred in. Be warned though, these girls can be wild!
Lovely!
Now I’m no shrinking violet, I’m not offended or outraged by the worlds oldest profession, but I do find it amazing that Sponsored Reviews are hooking up with this kind of advertiser. This isn’t a ‘naughty’ website with a few pictures or videos, it’s a front for prostitution.
I’ve been an avid supporter of paid posts, as I think they’re a great way for the individual blogger to make some serious cash, but if this is the way the market is going, I’m glad I’m out.
Would anyone accept this review? Am I being over sensitive? Maybe I’m getting old……

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackEwww no probably not. I mean, I know it happens, hell I’ve been to Amsterdam and saw a bunch of people do it on a stage, but to actually use my blog to peddle it? Probably not. It’s a kind of world I’m not a part of, and would feel uncomfortable being a part of.
i got the offer too but didn’t even visit the site
first casino ads overload now “escort services”.
I would blog about it though….if it had 5 or 6 more zeros attached
That brought a smile to my face.
Not that I’d be happy to accept any such advertising request, but it’s the levels that an advertiser you previously trusted would stoop to in order to make a quick buck (no pun intended).
You probably got offered that review because of your past posts about that naked bear thing. LOL Heck no, I wouldn’t take this paid review. In fact, I have quit doing them anyway. I liked the money, but if PPP and all quit giving me things to post about, the heck with them too.
I’d be put off by the non-disclosure aspect, but writing about a site like that could be entertaining, at least.
Hehheh. I had to edit this comment about prostitution because WordPress doesn’t like a certain word that starts with “re” and ends with “view”
I dont think i will promote such things on my site.
I was absolutely amazed when I saw this
It’d certainly be interesting Sam….
Heh now that’s something new. I’d have a good laugh if it was offered to me. I wouldn’t take it though. Maybe we’re both getting old buddy haha
I would have jumped on that in a heartbeat. Don’t you know that sex sells? Can you imagine how many search visitors you’d get if you were creative enough?
On second thought, maybe not. I’m not that desperate.
I’m definitely getting old!
The idea crossed my mind RT, I just couldn’t believe that SR were part of it. Now, a private deal on the other hand
I would ask a lot of money for that. Blogging about prostitution is something that can hurt your blog.
