Do you know that the first PC I owned had a throbbing 20Mb (that’s megabyte) hard drive? That drive was probably physically bigger than most modern mobile phones, so to this old fogey the news that SanDisk have just released an 8Gb (gigabyte) micro SD High-Capacity flash card is quite amazing.
Given the all round capabilities of the modern mobile, the need for large Mobile Phone Memory has never been greater, and the huge capacity of this tiny card will be most welcome. If your device supports the microSDHC card you can look forward to this high speed SanDisk card, backed by a 5 year warranty which will probably outlast one or more of your phones! Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackChris, I started with a 20MB HDD too! Amazing how far things have come… I wouldn’t mind one of these for my PocketPc.
I still remember upgrading to my mighty 386DX, with 4Mb of RAM and I think a 100Mb HDD. What a beast……
Now you’ve made me jealous! I only upgraded to a 386SX, 2Mb RAM and 40MB HDD…
Only problem with this is that some of the devices wont pick up anything over 8 gb. Sadly my phone is one of them and I can only put a 2 gb in there. Blasted Sony
haha Chris..yeah I thought I created a beast back in the day too and it wasn’t even 1/4th of that
Blueyes, that is the most annoying thing in the world! I’ve bought memory before only to have to Ebay it later, because my device can’t take it.
Hey Dan, you should have seen me when I upgraded to a 486DX2 running at 66Mhz!!!!
