A Claire Disclaimer:This tip is for Blogger.com BlogsThis is very quick tip!
line through writing can be done with a click of a button on wordpress, but in Blogger alas no
So just insert <strike> before the word to be struck through and </strike> after
it, including the brackets in the edit html part of writing your post.
Told you it was quick

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackIf you look at posts on Technorati and other places the stricken words do not have lines through them. They’re using XHTML Strict which doesn’t support it like Transitional. I like it myself and have used it a few times.
I do love my wordpress. This is another example of something which I would have a very tough time doing with a regular website which is incredibly easy with wordpress
When you say quick, you don’t mess around do you? I’m still looking for an excuse to use the line through.
So pleased you found this little gem. I love it x x
Hey RT, i didn’t know that, it is useful for comedy purposes or if you have done a checklist and would like to strike something off the list.
Hey Scott, i found blogger first, so with my PR at 4 i am staying there for the time being
Hey Jason, i don’t mess around at all! I am sure you find a use for it
Cheers shaz!
Okay, now I have to find a use for the strikethru…
On a related note, I often find it handy to insert HTML codes for special characters & symbols. Sometimes you’ll find that you need double-quotes inside of quotes. Or maybe you need a one-half fraction or copyright symbol. You can find an easy to use list here.
Andy this is a tip on how to use it in Blogger!
I would never use such a tool for comedy purposes…
Yeah RT I’d noticed that too – makes you look like you don’t proof read your posts!
The use for this feature is to update your posts.
This way you can “strike-out” what you originally wrote, update it with the new info, and keep people up to date.
It’s also good to do this because it will help to increase your page rank (updating your old posts that is).
The first place I saw this used was by Steve Pavlina. He uses it to update readers on the amount of money he makes along with other things. It can really help to give people a feeling of “being in the know”.
