Another useful plugin has been installed on Blog-Op tonight, and I hope it will prove beneficial to my readers who have English as a second language.
Simply click on the language of your choice, and the viewed page should hopefully get translated. I had a read of the comprehensive list of translator plugins on Lorelle’s blog and decided to go for the Wordpress Translation Plugin, as this seemed to have a good range of languages, and simple installation.
If you make use of this translation, I would love to have some feedback from you – are the translations satisfactory?
Do you use a translation plugin on your blog? Have you noticed any benefits from it?

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackChris … I had a friend give me your url. You’re doing yomen’s work here.
I put a translator up a few months back. [Blogger] More as an exercise, than anything else. But I’m not really the kind of site that might get a boost from it. This one I could see it doing some good.
Oh, have you seen Slide ?

Hey Bob: I hope you meant ‘yeomans’ work and not ‘womens’ work, but I’ll take what I can get…
I can see slide on your blog, but from what you’ve written, I take it it messes things up?
I have the Global Translator Plugin installed and it has brought immense amounts of international traffic to my blog. Not only that, but my Alexa and Google rankings in those foreign (to me) countries is much higher than my U.S. rankings.
I would venture to say that 1/4th of my traffic comes from hits on international Google searches.
RT & I have been discussing the benefits we have noticed since adding the Translation plugin.
Hmm, I’ll give this plugin a go by the sound of things…
