Last week’s poll, asked which prefix do you choose for your URL, e.g. www.blog-op.com or just blog-op.com.
60% of respondents came down in favour of the non-www option, which means I’m right again
Of the 20% who responded ‘Who Cares?’, you need to go read my article on setting up a 301 re-direct. You may not care, but Google does, and you will be losing PageRank by not making a choice. Thanks to everyone who voted and commented.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI didn’t get a chance to do the poll, but I wanted to mention that a lot of people, and I do mean a LOT of people, automatically add the “www.” in front of domain names.
Perhaps it’s a throwback to the older users who HAD to type in addresses manually, but I’m not sure.
That’s true RT, and the re-direct I’ve setup will send them here without them noticing. It just stops Google diluting your PR between the 2 addresses that it thinks are 2 different sites.
As long as you choose, it doesn’t matter which, I was just interested in what people liked to use.
Of course, if you don’t care about PR, it’s all irrelevant anyway
