Guest blogging seems to be an ever more popular topic at the moment, and I’ve seen lots of people making reference to it this week, both from the point of view of making the invitation, to being the invitee.
I happen to think it is a good idea, if used wisely, and can be a real advantage to the blog owner, the guest blogger and the readers. There are obviously also downsides, in the event of a lack of quality on either party’s side, or simply bloggers of the wrong style coming together, but leaving that aside for the moment, here’s a simple question:
Would you be a guest blogger?

Myself, I would be pretty well happy enough to do it for anyone kind enough to ask, so long as they were familiar to me, and it was on the condition of being an irregular thing - I have enough to do on my own blogs!

It’s a great way to build relationships and reach a different audience from your own.
Guest publishing is something that everyone should consider in my opinion.
If anyone wanted to know more about how to do genealogical research, what a handwriting analyst looks for in your signature, or what it is like to live with fibromyalgia, I would be a candidate.
yeah…..I haven’t been invited nor have I joined any of the groups doing this stuff…but I would give it a shot.
If you are subject matter expert, that will be definitly a good idea.
I think it’s a great way to learn about other site’s audiences. I try to write content that will be relevant to the audience it’s going to be aimed at, so this makes or a great exercise.
I doubt that I would guest blog - I also doubt many would want me to.

Yup, I think guest blogging is a cool idea. Beside promoting my own blog, I can build deeper relationship with the blog owner.
His audience may become my top concern, but I would never forget the owner, too!
I was just invited to become a guest blogger in some blog on my area. And I hope I will do well to satisfy both audiences and owner.

I could always use a guest blogger…but I feel the same as you do…don’t want to pull people away from their own blogs & own lives.
My life coupled with my blog & my other websites…keep me too busy as it is.
However, if someone were in a bind, like RT & you seem to be in lately (sick/back pain), I would do it as a favor for sure!
