Short and to the point this month: How much money have you made from blogging?
We all know the likes of John Chow are raking in thousands a month, but what about the rest of us? The poll is completely anonymous, unless you choose to show off reveal all in the comments, so please vote away.
FWIW, I’ve made just under $1,600 in less than 6 months, which isn’t much, but is roughly $1,600 more than I thought I would when I started.
If you can’t see the poll, please temporarily turn off your ad-blocker. Thanks

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI’m on Andy’s list…I went over and voted for you. I hope you can do the same for my Body, Mind & Solar in Health topic. Good luck on votes!
Thanks, and no problem
Anybody else want me to look at their nomination, leave me a link.
voted on this
I would like to but I need to figure out how.

Do you really have to link to John Chow in almost every post you make, Chris lol?
You have my vote in.
Voted man .
Maki: I’m hoping one day he’ll notice me!
I don’t know why I keep doing it actually, perhaps I’ll link to you instead
Goldcoaster, you’ll need to go self-hosted….
Thanks for the votes guys-who’s earned over $5000???
$8.90 adsense, sucks!
$200 pay per post
$25 blogvertise
But i have been pretty lazy with pay per post, so could be more.
Still waiting to get something from loud launch or sponsored reviews.
Well, I’m still waiting for the Adsense ship to come in….
I’m around $500 Canadian so far – mostly with PPP. I like getting paid in US funds – wish our money was as crappy as a few years ago, the return would be much more!
Nice work Guys!
Good luck with that Curmudgeon, in my own experience Adsense just doesn’t pay unless you have a ton of traffic.
Nah don’t link to me.. strive to link to someone new everytime. Linking to the same people all the time can get boring unless they write incredible stuff..
And If you want his attention, go comment like a mad dog let loose on his blog. He mostly only links to people within his circle…
Associated Content (just joined) $3.14
PPP (since Jan 12) $515
Loud Launch $30 (pending)
Blogvertise $5
Gather (Aug 2006) $150
Cafe Press Store $30
Adsense(less) $?
Squidoo (2 months) $.26
Busy little duck, ain’t I?
Had a good chuckle at Maki’s comment to you Chris. LOL
Diversify Webduck! It pays to spread it out.
Maki: Woof! No, you’re right, I must spread my links far and wide….
I’ve made around $300. Mostly from Adsense, some from Text-Link-Ads, and a little from Bidvertiser.
Just yesterday I started an experiment where I’m giving my Bidvertiser ad the Medium Rectangle spot, and I have taken Adsense off altogether. I did this because recently my Page CTR with Adsense has dropped in half, along with my profits. It’s due to the new ad format they have. I wrote a post about it here.
Wow thats nice, matt. The CTR considerably dropped for mine too, so I’m more into working on attracting readers instead.
I’m trying to do the same right now. I figure, the only way to keep my revenues growing (until Google switches things again) is to get more people to eJabs.
I’ve made a few design changes in the last few days, and now really want to focus on writing some good content. My content has been suffering lately because I’ve been so busy with other things…it will change soon!
If you look at my site, I have 10 posts on the front page.
I figured out a way to the the Google Adsense Medium Rectangle appear on my top 3 posts, and the Bidvertiser Medium Rectangle to appear on the next 7.
Hopefully that should help with my revenue as well.
That’s some clever stuff Matthew, you’ll have to share that one
It’s a bit of code that I already have a blog post about…but now, of course, I have modified it to include the ads on each post. It was a bit tricky, but not too bad.
Maybe I’ll post an updated code post.
