Do you know? Do you care?
Google Page Rank is another of these stats that you don’t really need to concern yourself with, unless you are monetizing your site, or if you have designs on being one of the worlds most read blogs. However, it is an interesting stat to judge your blog’s progress, and one I keep an eye on mainly through the Google Toolbar.
As some of you may know, there is currently a PR update in progress, and your blog may be going up, or down: either way you won’t know for sure until the end of next week.
If you want a glimpse into the future, you can see how you currently rank across Google’s data centres using this tool. Each data centre updates at a different time, so if a couple of numbers differ from the majority that may be your new page rank.
So, what’s your current PR, and if you want to share, leave a comment telling us what you think it’s moving to. Good luck!

Up from 1 to 2. Maybe 3 next time. Got a single post with PR5 though *g*.

I think mine will go down from 5 to 4 .
My davidairey.com is a 4 and my davidairey.com/blog is a 5 (with some 6’s scattered about).
Looks like I’m moving from a 0 to a 4. Finally out of the Google Sandbox!
Well done on the 6 David, that’s pretty cool.
Looks like the rest of us are down in the 4’s…..
There’s nothing wrong with 3’s or 4’s. It means you’re getting links. It’s hard to get to 6 or above, I’ve noticed. You have to be extremely popular to get there.
4 and sticking to it by the looks of it!
I finally got a ranking….I am a Four! and my old site is a three!
I am so boggled!
I launched my blog a month ago and it was a 2 a launch. I am very happy to have moved up to a 3 with the new rank update! I will strive for a 4 for the next one.
The other blog I help manage was a 4 and stayed a 4. I had been hoping to get him up to a 5 so that is a bit of a letdown. Must work harder.
My blog managed to jump from 0 -> 5
Well done everyone. Good work Andy!
Mine is now 5, I guess thats OK???
And I don’t have any adverts lionk etc to make me some cash

am i late for the party? mine (http://stocktube.blogspot.com) still remains at PR=4 … not sure if it’s good or bad but a higher number will definitely generate more traffic for me …
hmmm, wondering what else are needed to increase the ranking … anybody cares to share?
cheers
Nice one Goldcoaster, that’s some achievement.
Hey StockTube, never too late
4 is pretty good, but you’re right, higher is better.
When you find out some of those secrets, let me know!
hello chris,
i’ll surely let you know once i know the secret … not that it’s something unknown to all bloggers … it has to do with SEO and back-links and stuff like that … too bad i’m not expert in this area … so i guess great content does not necessarily guarantee higher pagerank …
cheers
