This tip comes courtesy of the root of all evil, John Chow, and is so simple I don’t why I haven’t thought about it before, even though I was aware of it.
Wordpress users: when writing a post, you will have noticed the ‘Post Timestamp’ box on the right, giving the date and time the post was created. If, for whatever reason, you wish a post to appear later than the date it was written, simply edit this box to the desired time/date, hit publish and the post will not appear on your blog until that time.
Useful perhaps if you’re going away for a few days, or would just like to spread your posts out. Just be careful not to publish anything that could look stupid if circumstances change!
Blogger users, I believe this will just result in a ’sticky post’ at the top of your blog until the date passes. Typepad users, perhaps you can tell me what happens?
PS, this post was written on Friday 9th, but should appear on Saturday 10th…..

[...] and should I log on during Saturday or Sunday to write a longer post, I’m more likely to timestamp it to appear during the week, than hit publish straightaway. If I do publish during the weekend, [...]
Too bad I can’t use this tip to pre-date some posts and get first blog post to show up earlier so my 90 days will be up sooner for PPP status.
