Ah yes, Agloco. You know, before Blogrush, before DealDotCom, way back in the mists of time (a few months back), you could go nowhere without reading about Agloco, and how it was going to make you millions/scam you out of millions etc. etc.
How It WorksÂ
Well things are quieter, and I still don’t think it’s a scam - how can it be, they have no way of getting any money from you - but we are edging ever closer to a point where a payout may occur. For those of you who don’t know, Agloco require you to run their ‘viewbar’ while surfing the internet, which should then serve you contextual ads within the bar. You do not have to click on them, or anything else, just have the bar running so that it can view the type of site you’re reading and serve appropriate ads. In return, you will get a share of all advertising revenue profit, but Agloco will not payout until they have actually earnt the money.
The Viewbar can be run for up to 5 hours a month, the longer it runs up to that point, the more you can earn. Despite reassurances, a lot of people are concerned about invasion of privacy etc. but all you really need to do is what I do: load the toolbar, leave it running while I use Stumble, read the news, makes a few comments etc. then turn it off until next month. If you’re really paranoid, you can even block it accessing the web with a firewall. In addition to this, if you refer additional users to Agloco, you will receive a payout equivalent to a percentage of their earnings as well.
Money For NothingÂ
With this in mind, I see that I have 43 people in my network, yet in September I am the only person to use my viewbar at all. This seems a bit silly, as you obviously signed up to earn some money, but if you don’t use the bar, then you definitely won’t earn a penny. I fire the bar up once a month, whilst viewing my normal sites, and if there is going to be a payout, I will earn some money for very little effort, and while it may ultimately only amount to a couple of hundred dollars a year, that’s still more than you will be earning from it if you don’t run the toolbar you signed up for.
So, if you have already signed up, why not run the toolbar and see what happens. If you haven’t signed up, why not join my network and see what we can make of it?
