I’m glad to see my readers increasing, with new people leaving comments and emailing me. It’s nice to meet you all, and I hope Blog-Op is useful to you. It seems like a good a time as any to have a re-introduction to the blog, and how you can use it.

There are two parts to Blog-Op: Reading and Contribution.

Contribution: I welcome all contributions to Blog-Op, long or short, technical or simple. The only real qualification for your contribution is that it should be useful or interesting to other bloggers. Suggested topics could be:

  • Blog Platforms: I’m a Wordpress user, and most of my tech tips are based on that. I would love articles from Blogger, Typepad and other platform users, or anything related to those.
  • Design tips: How you’ve tweaked your template, added a new widget, or found a great plugin.
  • Plug your own post and/or blog. If your blog is also designed to help bloggers, write me a paragraph blowing your own trumpet and I’ll publish it. As long as your blog is useful, and you’re not just spamming, it’ll get posted.
  • Monetization - What’s worked for you?

All contributors get at least 2 links back to their own blog, and if you can get any more into your post without going silly, feel free. Affiliate links are OK as long as you indicate that’s what they are. Details in my How To Contribute and FAQ pages.

Reading: OK, fairly obvious, but to help you find your way around, you have the option of my archives on the left, as well as in calendar form on the right, categories on the left, and of course the search box - just type in your search term and hit enter. A good starting place may also be the page titled Most Popular Articles, which lists the post with the most comments in each category.

I love comments and discussion, to that end you can also see the Top Commentators widget on my left sidebar - leave enough sensible comments, and you get a free link to your blog. Comments are only moderated for spam, not opinion, so comment away and tell me where I’m wrong. Just be nice ;-)

If you like where Blog-Op’s going, I’d love to publish an article from you, and to get your feedback - why not subscribe to my RSS feed and keep up to date with the latest posts.

Thanks for reading.
