I've always kept journals, and am a much faster typer than writer, so blogging just made sense. Having said that, I censor much of what I write - I have to be careful because of my husband's job etc. I'm a comment junkie too - I love to hear what others have to say. I have never felt it impersonal to speak via the 'net... I was on parenting forums before and enjoyed that and find the blogging adds extra depth. I too am enjoying the education about html and so on. Not to mention reading up on all the monetary opportunities.. I research this not out of greed but interest...the blogosphere and net is always changing and evolving. I am also always still totally tickled when someone comments on what I post. I think it harkens back to my insecurities in school...I remember in university being so blown away that people listened to what I had to say on a subject. It was and still is a great confidence booster. I think I blog because I love the sense of community.
