In the beginning, you’ll have to buy the right equipment. Examples include a crimp tool, a wire cutter, jacket stripper and an optical fiber cutting tool, fiber holders and fiber jackets. Make sure the wire is ready to convert. Utilize wire cutters to cut away any insulation to ensure that the wire will be identified. Take off any extra insulation, so that it does not get stuck in the way.
Then, place your cable into the jacket stripper. Be sure that the insulation exceeds the cutting limit, so that you won’t cut off unnecessary pieces of cable. Once ready, close the jacket stripperand pull away 250 micrometers from the coating of fiber. Clean the exposed area using cleaning papers soaked in alcohol.
Place the cable into the holder. Close the lock. Again, insert the cable inside the jacket stripper, as illustrated. After that, place the whole assembly inside the fiber cleaver cutting off a part of the fiber. Next, insert the cable into the connector of optical cables all the way.
